Mareno Lifts Dread Kings to 11-3 Triumph
The Boise Dread Kings had no problem beating the Rohnert Park Cougars, 11-3, at Ballpark of Greenup. Alex Mareno led the onslaught. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 6 for Boise. Nelson Martinez was the winner. He's now 4-2. The loser was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Orlando Roque. Alex Lozada closed it out for Boise, earning his 1st save.

Mareno got the Dread Kings off to a quick start. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single.

"Nice win for us," said Mareno. "Now we'll go after the next one."
