Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Fresno Running Rebels and Boise Dread Kings.

The Fresno Running Rebels beat the Boise Dread Kings, 4-1, at Ballpark of Boise. Starting pitcher Scott Clary was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. The Running Rebels go to 21-24, putting them 5th in the Eastern AA Southen Division.

Eric Milbrandt had a big solo home run for the Running Rebels in the top of the sixth inning. With Fresno leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he got a sinker from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Rodolfo Hernandez and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 6th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Running Rebels ahead, 3-1.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Clary said.
