Oscar Flores pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Mesa Razor Sharks, despite Flores's fine outing, dropped a 2-1 decision to the Riverside Rotters at Rotters Ballpark. Pete Mead picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Oscar Flores suffered the loss. Riverside has an impressive 28-14 record.

The game was at a stalemate until catcher Chris Terry came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Mesa pitcher Josh Buxton, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Riverside on top, 2-1.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Terry.
