Dread Kings Come Up Short at Encinitas, 6-5
|
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers and Boise Dread Kings.
Bill Jackson had a good game, but he could not keep the Boise Dread Kings from falling, 6-5, to the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers at EBDBBNB Park. The Boise shortstop went 3-4 with 2 home runs in the loss. Tim Citrowske was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Devon Trimble. Antonio Jusino earned the save for Encinitas.
In the bottom of the sixth, Encinitas first baseman George Foote had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Foote stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 6-3, Encinitas. For the game, he went 1 for 4, while adding 3 RBI.
"I have a job to do," Foote said, "and I did it."
The Eskimo Brothers move to 25-14 with the win, while the Dread Kings drop to 25-14.
