The Polecats grabbed a win, 5-3, at EBDBBNB Park, overcoming a fine effort from Encinitas pitcher Jim Mendoza. Mendoza went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 run. The save was credited to Will Olejnik, his 9th. With the win, the Polecats have a record of 21-16.

Alberto Torres helped out the Libertyville cause in the top of the ninth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 4 with a double.
