The Boise Dread Kings got a stellar performance from pitcher Adam Matthews, who handcuffed the Mesa offense en route to a win, 5-2, at Ballpark of Boise. The winner was Matthews. He threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was John Barnes. The Dread Kings, at 25-13, sit in third place in the Eastern AA Southen Division.

Steve Wooldridge dealt the Razor Sharks a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Boise leading 3-2, Wooldridge hit a 1-1 cutter for a run-scoring single.
