Dread Kings Suffer 5-3 Road Loss
|
The Alcoa Millionaires spoiled a good performance by Boise shortstop Yoneo Yamamoto, bumping off Boise, 5-3, at Alcoa Grounds. Yamamoto was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the save was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Jay Altieri. The Millionaires saw their win-loss record go to 16-22. At the same time, the Dread Kings fell to 23-15.
Aaron Williams helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring single. It came in the first inning, making the score 1-0, Millionaires.
"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Williams.
