Peterson hits 3 home runs to Fuel Suns Offense
|
The Aurora Suns powered past the Washington Wildthings, 12-5, at Suns Field. Adam Peterson hit 3 home runs. He drove in 7 runs and scored three times, to lead the charge. The win was credited to Carlos Diaz in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Caleb Burr took the loss. The misery continues for the Wildthings, who have now dropped 11 in a row.
Aurora got a lift in the bottom of the fifth from left fielder Brian Phillips, who hit a slider to center for a run-scoring double. His 6th double of the season put the Suns up, 6-5.
"Same old, same old, unfortunately," said losing manager Danny Sanchez.
