Eskimo Brothers Win Pitchers' Duel, 2-0, Versus Mountaineers
|
EBDBBNB Park hosted a real pitchers' duel.
In a tight affair between the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers and the Winchester Mountaineers, pitcher Justin Watson was in the zone. The Encinitas right-hander helped his team win the game, 2-0. Watson, the winner, moves to 3-3. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 2 walks.
With two out in the bottom of the third, George Foote put Encinitas in front, 1-0, with a run-scoring single. The Eskimo Brothers went on to win the ballgame.
"Justin did a good job mixing and matching," said Encinitas manager Logan Greening.
The Eskimo Brothers now have a mark of 24-9.
