Cougars Suffer 5-2 Loss to Riverside
Riverside picked up a win at Rotters Ballpark, bumping off the Rohnert Park Cougars, 5-2. Pitcher Josh Monroe was a major reason the Rotters emerged victorious. The winner was Monroe. He threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Orlando Roque. Ryan Butler collected his 8th save.

Right Fielder Phil Galvin made an impact for Riverside, when he swatted a 2-run home run off Orlando Roque in the bottom of the third. For the contest, Galvin went 1-5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Josh gave us everything he had," said Riverside manager Hermenegildo Fernando.

The Rotters improved to a lofty 25-10.
