Michael Brumfield was outstanding against Corpus Christi. The left-hander, who leads the E-AA in wins with 5, had a sinker that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Bears 4-3 win. With the win, Traverse City has a record of 14-21. Corpus Christi falls to 20-15.

The Bears got a big at-bat from right fielder Andy Jacobi. For the game, Jacobi was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Traverse City a 3-2 lead.

"I got in a good groove," said Brumfield. "I was getting some swings and misses."
