Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Boise Dread Kings and Winchester Mountaineers.

The Winchester Mountaineers went down to defeat to Gil Carroll and his Boise teammates. The final score was 3-2, in favor of the Dread Kings. Steve Wright, now 2-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Picking up the save was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Luke Getts.

Alex Mareno came through with a big-time hit for Boise. The designated hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"That's what this team is about," said Carroll, "picking each other up."

Boise has now won 3 in a row.
