Victors Again, Boise Win Streak at 8
The Boise Dread Kings downed the Washington Wildthings, 5-1, at Red Barons Ballpark. Stellar pitching by Adam Matthews had a lot to do with it. The right-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. Washington, now 4-23, has gotten off to a terrible start.

Joel Thompson dealt the Wildthings a blow in the top of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Boise leading 1-0, Thompson, who is tied for 7th in the E-AA with a .351 batting average, hit a 2-2 changeup for a run-scoring single.

"We'll keep riding this wave," said Thompson.
