Parson Excels in 11-9 Encinitas Win
Runs were plentiful at EBDBBNB Park.

Steve Parson was the difference-maker for the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers in what turned into a shootout with the Rohnert Park Cougars. Parson, who is tied for 9th in the E-AA in doubles with 6, went 2-for-3 in the 11-9 Eskimo Brothers win. Nelson de Lira got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 4.1 innings. John Sims finished the game for Encinitas and earned his 7th save.

In the bottom of the first, Encinitas shortstop Jason Hoover had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Hoover stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 1-0, Encinitas. For the game, he went 3 for 5 with 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.

"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Parson told a local reporter after the game.
