George Foote impressed in the 4-3 Encinitas win over Traverse City. Foote, who is rated as the 59th best prospect by BNN, went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Antonio Jusino closed it out for his 3rd save. Traverse City, now 5-22, continues its dreadful start.
In the top of the first, Foote had a 2-run home run for Encinitas. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Eskimo Brothers on top, 2-0.
"No one likes losing," said Traverse City manager Zach Hildebrant. "We've hit a tough patch, but we're going to get through it."
