Rotters Win 4-2 Nail-Biter Versus Mermen
|
The Riverside Rotters picked up a win at Rotters Ballpark, knocking off the Corpus Christi Mermen, 4-2, in 11 innings. Starting pitcher Micah Morgan played a key role in the triumph. Ryan Butler got credit for the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. The Mermen drop to 12-16, as their stumbling start to the 2025 season continues.
Riverside got a game-changing hit from Aarto Turkula. The second baseman blasted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a winner.
After the game, Riverside manager Hermenegildo Fernando applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
