Due in large part to designated hitter Greg Mattox, the Riverside Rotters sunk the Libertyville Polecats, 6-3. Mattox was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Ryan Butler got the win, improving to 3-1. He held the Polecats to no runs on 5 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 4. Josh Carlson notched his 4th save of the season.

With two out in the top of the seventh, Matt Douglas had a game-changing hit. The Rotters center fielder slammed a run-scoring single off Eric Moriarty, making the score 2-0, Riverside.

Douglas attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."

The loss lowers the Libertyville record to 13-11.
