The Boise Dread Kings picked up a win at Ballpark of Greenup, knocking off the Rohnert Park Cougars, 3-2. On the mound for Boise was right-hander Dan Presnell. He played a key role in the triumph. Presnell, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 7 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 2 walks. The Cougars fall to 10-16.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Joel Thompson? The Boise third baseman had a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put the Dread Kings on top, 3-0. For the game, Thompson had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
