A 4-RBI performance from Oscar de Leon, who leads the E-AA in bases on balls with 24, helped the Winchester Mountaineers beat the Aurora Suns, 8-0. Winchester starter Ed Jenkins was credited with the win after throwing 88 pitches over 7.2 innings. His record now stands at 2-1. Early on, the Mountaineers, at 19-6, have put the pedal to the metal.

de Leon went 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once against the Suns. In the bottom of the first inning, he hit a run-scoring single that put Winchester in front, 1-0.

"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," de Leon told the Winchester Chronicle.
