Mescalero first baseman Eric Breene had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Traverse City Bears, 5-2. Eric Sawyer closed it out for Mescalero, earning his 5th save. The loss makes Traverse City 9-12.

In the first inning, Breene had a 2-run home run for Mescalero. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Chiefs on top, 2-0.

"Our offense was purring," said Mescalero manager Hunter Santiago. "Like a well-oiled machine."
