The Alcoa Millionaires beat the Traverse City Bears, 4-3, at Alcoa Grounds. Mike Ruger, in particular, was impressive. He went 2-2 with a home run, while scoring 2. The save went to Danny Williams, number 1 for him. The defeat makes the Bears 8-15.

Alcoa took a 4-3 lead on Mike Gray's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Gray hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Traverse City pitcher Mike Gunter visibly frustrated.

"Nice win for us," said Gray. "Now we'll go after the next one."
