Eskimo Brothers Earn Late Win
The Encinitas Eskimo Brothers knocked off the Winchester Mountaineers, 4-3, at EBDBBNB Park. Severo Salcido was a big reason Encinitas won. The second baseman went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Tom Haning, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 3rd save. Losses have been few and far between for the Mountaineers, now 12-5.

Salcido had a timely hit for Encinitas in the bottom of the eighth. With Encinitas trailing 3-1, he turned a 2-1 cutter into a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season, making it 4-3, Encinitas.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Salcido. "You've got to get results."
