Rotters Capture Close Win
The Riverside Rotters overcame a good performance by Boise shortstop Bill Jackson to knock off Boise, 9-8, at Rotters Ballpark. Jackson was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Pete Mead claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in 1.2 innings. His record stands at 1-2. Mike Heustess earned the save for Riverside, his 3rd.

David Moore, who is tied for 4th in the E-AA in home runs with 7, took Boise hurler Nelson Martinez deep in the bottom of the fifth. His 3-run home run put the Rotters on top, 4-1. In all, Moore had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Riverside manager Hermenegildo Fernando.

With the win, Riverside lifts its record to 10-7.
