Hoover Lifts Eskimo Brothers to 14-5 Win
Led by Jason Hoover, the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers downed the Aurora Suns, 14-5. Hoover was 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Eskimo Brothers. Preston Todd, who went 6 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 6 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 1-1. Chris Anderson sewed up the save, his 1st.

Encinitas used a clutch at-bat from Dan Tillery to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Eskimo Brothers ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Encinitas manager Logan Greening.

Losses have been few and far between for the Suns, now 13-2.
