The Rohnert Park Cougars downed the Traverse City Bears, 13-7, at Greensboro Grounds. Jason Clare led the way, going 4-for-6 for Rohnert Park. Chris London picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Nathan Fitzkee suffered the loss. Traverse City, at 1-14, is off to a dreadful start in 2024.

Rohnert Park used the timely hitting of Butch Weeks to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cougars on top, 8-7. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I want us to come out, have fun, hit some balls, and score. We're having a tough time," said Zach Hildebrant, the Traverse City manager.
