Losing Streak Continues for Bears with 9-5 Loss to Eskimo Brothers
The Encinitas Eskimo Brothers topped the Traverse City Bears, 9-5, with youngster Armando Gomez playing a key role. Gomez was 3 for 3 with 3 singles and 2 walks for the Eskimo Brothers in the win. Ryan Simpson earned the win for Encinitas. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 3 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 2-0. To call the performance of the 1-13 Bears woeful so far is an understatement.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth when Gomez hit a run-scoring single. It thrust the Eskimo Brothers into the lead, 4-3.

"We're our own worst enemy right now," said Traverse City skipper Zach Hildebrant.
