The Alcoa Millionaires faced a tough opponent in Riverside pitcher Brent Gudim, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Alcoa Grounds by a final score of 3-1. Gudim went 7 innings and allowed no runs. The win was credited to 19-year old left-handed pitcher Vince Silcox in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Adam Asbury took the loss. Losses have been few and far between for the Rotters, now 11-1.

Alcoa went in front, 3-1, on George Coler's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Coler hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Riverside pitcher Adam Asbury visibly perturbed.

Afterward, Millionaires manager Victor Gonzalez was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
