Victors Again, Riverside Win Streak at 9
|
The winning streak continued for Riverside.
With second baseman Mike Lynn leading the charge, the Riverside Rotters defeated the Traverse City Bears, 8-4, at Rotters Ballpark. Lynn was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Josh Lienhard earned his 1st save, after closing out the game.
Lynn had a key at-bat for Riverside in the bottom of the second. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and gave Riverside an early 2-0 lead.
"We'll keep riding this wave," said Lynn.
Traverse City, with the loss, is 2-7.
