New Rochelle Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by Acosta
The Dillonvale Indians withstood an impressive performance by New Rochelle right fielder Dave Acosta to defeat the Purple Wave, 10-4, at Ballpark of Lexington. Acosta belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Dillonvale is now 16-31, New Rochelle 19-28.

Matt Peterson had a big 2-run home run for the Indians in the top of the fifth inning. With Dillonvale leading 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Chris Zuniga and punished it. The result was his 9th home run of the season, which put the Indians on top, 5-2.

Dillonvale manager Markus Mensink commended his team for "putting the pedal to the metal."
