The Ann Arbor Z's topped the Spokane Selects, 5-4, with designated hitter Jeff Wise playing a big role. Wise went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Z's in the win. Juan Martinez earned the win to go to 6-3. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work. Jim Unknown picked up his 1st save of the season.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Travis Letner? The Ann Arbor right fielder had a run-scoring ground out in the top of the second inning to put the Z's on top, 2-0. For the game, Letner had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
