Riding the 2-hit performance of the 27-year old left fielder Jeff Wise, the Ann Arbor Z's stopped the New Rochelle Purple Wave, 3-1. Chris Runte recorded the save, his 10th. The Z's raised their record to 15-25.
Making an impact for the home team was Chih Ren. In the bottom of the fifth, the 24-year old shortstop had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 3-1, Z's.
Wise called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
