Fighting Quakers Get Past Spokane for 4-3 Win
The Quebec Fighting Quakers picked up a win at Toros Ballpark, knocking off the Spokane Selects, 4-3. Starting pitcher Mark Herrera was a big reason why. The Fighting Quakers sit in last place in the Stripes Conference West Division with a record of 19-23.

Had Jamie Coogan not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Coogan hit a bases-clearing double. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Fighting Quakers.

"All in all, I thought Mark pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Quebec manager Jeff Gray.
