The New Rochelle Purple Wave knocked off the Orono Oaks, 4-1, in Stripes Conference action at Ballpark of Lexington. New Rochelle pitcher and Detroit, Michigan, native Ron Lombardi had an outstanding performance. New Rochelle raised its record to 21-16 with the win.

The Purple Wave got a big at-bat from first baseman Malcolm Babcock. For the game, Babcock went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave New Rochelle a 2-0 lead.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Babcock, "and then get after it again."
