Miller Homers Twice in 13-3 Crawdads Win
Hickory designated hitter Brian Miller had a 5-RBI performance, which helped his team down the New Rochelle Purple Wave, 13-3. Jonathan Brey earned the win to go to 2-3. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts in 7.2 innings of work. The third-place Crawdads have won 5 in a row.

Butch Weeks had a big grand slam home run for the Crawdads in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Hickory leading 3-1 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Jason Thompson and swatted a home run to right. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Crawdads ahead, 7-1.

"I really like what we did out there today," Miller said after the game.
