The Westwood Bruins weathered a fine game by Quebec center fielder Nick Schultz to upend the Fighting Quakers, 5-2, at Toros Ballpark. Schultz went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. John Blackman got the win, improving to 2-3. He worked 5 innings, giving up 2 runs on 3 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 5. Westwood currently is in 4th place in the Stripes Conference East Division at 16-22.

With no one out in the top of the second, Steve Ross put Westwood in front, 2-0, with a 2-run single. The Bruins went on to win the ballgame.
