Tight Tilt Goes to Z's, 3-2
|
Jackie Robinson Stadium was the site of a tense game between the Westwood Bruins and Ann Arbor Z's.
The Ann Arbor Z's converted a terrific effort from starter Sean Finch into a win over the Westwood Bruins at Jackie Robinson Stadium. The Z's won the game by a final score of 3-2. In 6 innings, Finch surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs.
Tim Baggett, who is tied for 9th in the StC in home runs with 5, had a direct impact on the outcome. Baggett contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Ann Arbor up, 1-0.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Westwood skipper Hasan Raif, "and it cost us."
The 4th-place Z's improved to 14-20.
