Marshalls Claim 4-1 Triumph
Ryan Butler never let Walnut Park get something going. The Fremont left-hander commanded his changeup in pitching the Marshalls to a 4-1 win. The winner was Butler. He threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Antonio Alvarez. Fremont bumps their record to 22-13 with the win.

Tied up with the Bobcats in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Marshalls got a boost from third baseman Jordan Tapia. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Tapia saw a 2-2 cutter from Antonio Alvarez and hit a 2-run single to break the stalemate and put Fremont on top, 2-0.

"Ryan was pretty good at keeping their guys off-balance," said Fremont manager Elias Nunez.
