West, Aces Too Much for Indians
|
Due in large part to left fielder Joe West, the Quebec Aces sunk the Dillonvale Indians, 9-1. West went 2 for 2 with 2 doubles, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 4 times and drove in 2. The winning pitcher was Colin Lambert. He's now 1-0. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits for the Aces. Quebec is 15-17 and Dillonvale, with the loss, 10-22.
Humberto Castano, who is tied for 6th in the StC in doubles with 8, chipped in a 3-run home run for Quebec in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.
