The Denver Pilots downed the Ann Arbor Z's, 11-4. The hitting star was second baseman John Anderson. Anderson was 3 for 5 with a triple and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Pilots. The winner was Chris Marquis, who threw 88 pitches over 6 innings. The left-hander was charged with 4 runs on 11 hits. Billy Merner, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 11th save.
