The Spokane Selects stopped the Ann Arbor Z's, 7-1, at Knights Ballpark. The Selects got a big game from Alex Sanchez, who was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Jon Clark, the winning pitcher, improved to 3-2. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 7 hits and 1 run, while striking out 6 and walking 2. The Z's drop to 11-17, as their fitful start to the 2026 campaign continues.

Spokane grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Sanchez hit a run-scoring double off Sean Finch. His 2nd double of the season put the Selects out in front, 2-1.

"It's always great to put the barrel on the ball and contribute," said Sanchez.
