Westwood Bruins starter Randy Lupton found his groove in his team's 5-0 win over the Quebec Aces. The winner was Lupton. He threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Brent Stedronsky. Brad Antol closed the door for Westwood, picking up his 6th save of the year.

Brian Hendrix dealt the Aces a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with runners on 1st and 3rd and Westwood leading 1-0, Hendrix, who is tied for 6th in the StC with a .333 batting average, hit a 1-1 sinker for a run-scoring single.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Quebec manager Arturo Rivera.

The 4th-place Bruins are now 12-17, the Aces 13-16.
