New Rochelle Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by Scott
New Rochelle shortstop Dan Scott had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Scott was 4-5 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice, even as Dillonvale beat the Purple Wave, 9-7. Dillonvale reliever Jose Suazo picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Todd Lukac was tagged with the loss. The Indians go to 9-20 with the win.

Eduardo Acosta took New Rochelle hurler Todd Lukac deep in the bottom of the eighth. His grand slam home run put the Indians on top, 9-5. In all, Acosta had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 5.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Acosta.
