The exploits of first baseman Roland Martin, who is tied for 8th in the StC in triples with 1, helped the Quebec Aces defeat the Palm Springs Heat, 5-2. Martin was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Quebec reliever Mike Banks was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Andy Waring took the loss. The Heat drop to 10-17.

Quebec took a 5-2 lead on Martin's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Michael Hatten in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Quebec to the win.

"Whenever you can come through for your ball club, it's a great thing," said Martin.
