The Westwood Bruins converted a terrific effort from starter Mike Bryan into a win over the New Rochelle Purple Wave at Jackie Robinson Stadium. The Bruins won the game by a final score of 3-2. The Purple Wave fall to 10-17 and continue their lackluster start in 2025.

Westwood took a 3-2 lead on Paul Tetzloff's 3rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Tetzloff hit in the bottom of the seventh, left New Rochelle pitcher Sean Harris visibly frustrated.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Tetzloff.
