Pilots Walk It Off for 8th Win of Season
|
Denver starter David Fry pitched effectively against the Spokane Selects at Pilots Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-1. Juan Santana, credited with the win, is now 1-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. With the loss, Spokane drops to 17-10.
Denver got a clutch hit from Gus Marquez. The right fielder launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
Denver manager Byung-sik Lee called it "a darn good win."
