Fighting Quakers Lose, 3-1

Starting pitcher Kyle Sandor gave the Walnut Park Bobcats a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Quebec Fighting Quakers, 3-1, at Toros Ballpark. Heath Johnston locked down his 3rd save. Losses have been rare for the Fighting Quakers, who are now 17-7.
The Bobcats had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 3-1, Walnut Park, with no one out. Quebec, with the bases empty, was mounting a threat. Josh Gillespie dug in at the plate, but on a 2-1 fastball, he grounded out.
