Z's Pocket 8-5 Win Against Quebec
The Ann Arbor Z's besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Quebec catcher Sam Neeley by beating the Fighting Quakers, 8-5, at Knights Ballpark. Neeley went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. With the loss, Quebec sinks to 11-6.

Tom Steiner's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant, coming with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the game tied, 5-5. The Ann Arbor second baseman hit a 2-run single off Andy Swift to put the Z's up.

In postgame comments to the Ann Arbor Herald, Steiner said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
