Raccoons Get Hard-Earned Win
The Tucson Raccoons found a way to sneak past the Westwood Bruins, 5-4, in 10 innings. Tucson pitcher Victor Luna, for one, had a standout performance. Tucson reliever Lou Cremer was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Mike Weatherby took the loss. Westwood is now 8-5.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Jared Scafidi came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Westwood pitcher Mike Weatherby, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Tucson on top, 5-4.

"It feels good to get this one," Luna told the Tucson Daily News.
