The New Rochelle Purple Wave topped the Spokane Selects by a score of 11-4. Leading the way was right fielder Eric Blanset. Blanset was 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 4 for the Purple Wave. Bobby Gang nailed down the save. The win puts New Rochelle at 7-3.
Skyler Swan hit a 2-run double off Morgan Jenkins in the bottom of the first, which put the Purple Wave in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Swan had 2 singles, while going 3 for 5.
"Winning is contagious," said Swan. "We're looking forward to the next game."
