Extra-Inning Win by Z's Over Pilots
The Ann Arbor Z's downed the Denver Pilots, 5-3, in 11 innings at Pilots Ballpark. The Z's were led by Sam Berger. Berger was 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Ann Arbor reliever Jesse Keim picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Juan Santana took the loss. The Z's raised their record to 7-4.

Ann Arbor went up, 4-3, on Tim Baggett's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Baggett hit in the top of the 11th, left Denver pitcher Billy Merner shaking his head.

"This ballgame left me feeling kind of raw," said Denver manager Byung-sik Lee.
