Orono Defeats Walnut Park, 4-2
|
Orono Oaks pitcher Pete Cook whisked his team past the Walnut Park Bobcats, 4-2. Tim Kondas got credit for the save for Orono. It was his 4th of the year. The defending champion Oaks have struggled a bit to find their groove this season, but improve to 6-6 with the win.
Caleb Langenwalter had a direct impact on the outcome. Langenwalter contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the third inning to put Orono up, 2-1.
Langenwalter attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."
