Selects Get 7-6 Win Versus New Rochelle
The Spokane Selects beat the New Rochelle Purple Wave, 7-6, at Selects Ballpark. Jose Martinez, in particular, was impressive. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Tyler Doss recorded his 4th save for Spokane. The loss drops the Purple Wave to 6-4.

Making an impact for the home team was Glen Eastman. In the bottom of the eighth, the 24-year old second baseman had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 7-5, Selects.

"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Martinez told the Spokane Daily News.
