The home team was supported by a raucous crowd at Raccoons Ballpark.

The Tucson Raccoons picked up a win at Raccoons Ballpark, taking down the Ann Arbor Z's, 3-0. Starting pitcher Jamel Thomas was a big reason why. For Ann Arbor, now 2-10, the season is off to a dismal start.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Raccoons had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when shortstop Joe Elleman hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Brandon Feldman and made the score 2-0, Raccoons. Elleman went 1-3.

"I was able to really locate my pitches tonight," said Thomas.
